Check-list for moving on
1. You are an absolutely wonderful human. If you don’t think you are, then you can make changes so that you will be the absolutely wonderful human that I KNOW you can be.
2.You probably will never understand humans (including yourself).
3. You can, however, attempt to understand your own dependencies, unhealthy attachments, and hang-ups.
4. Life happens in patterns. There are patterns everywhere - including the seasons, your codependent tendencies, tiles on the floor, and the kinds of people you are drawn to. Try tracing them back.
5. Remember all those times you got hurt? Or you hurt someone else? Me too. Make sure to learn from those.
6. The cavity inside your head is dark and scary and full of mush. The things that happen in there are sometimes scary, too. When you think about them and trace them, sometimes a light comes on that makes them less scary.
7. Acknowledge when it’s time to leave those dark and scary places. You can’t be in there forever.
8. On that note - when it’s time to leave, it’s time to leave.
9. You are braver than you think.
