Choosing to put up the blinders.
Last spring I watched a college friend present her final capstone project for the Women’s Studies minor, and one thing she said really stuck with me. I will paraphrase it: “Sometimes seeing reality hurts too much. Sometimes you have to put the blinders back up for a while.”
