If you do want to help - I would love to interview you. It would take less than thirty minutes. You don’t have to do anything besides answer my...

that your own advice is the hardest to take. And that sometimes it is too easy to forget how beautiful everything really is.

this is a pretty good article, which is rare for CNN lately. i’m vegetarian, and (not that it’s a surprise, but) anthony bourdain hits the nail on the head for me.
You don't need an excuse.
Sometimes you just have to let yourself hurt. Sometimes everything’s too unbearable. We don’t like to sit side by side with out pains, but if we don’t sit down then we never get the chance to stand up and part ways.
I imagine it sort of like taking a seat on a park bench with an old friend, only to say goodbye for a while with a wave and a glance over the shoulder.
But then...
Small triumphs.
My rattail is now long enough to braid.
I discovered I say “kinda” and “actually” as filler words.. much more so than I use the “like.” Funny the ways we try to fill space and silence.

I’ve been thinking about this a ton over the past year, and will write more later… but, in a nutshell - YES!
Positive Outlook Mondays.
Yep, that’s right. In light of the impending darkness of winter I have deemed every Monday “Positive Outlook Day” because I just don’t know if I can handle another Rochester winter without a cheerful start to my week. This new approach to Mondays may also be in part to blame because of my recent obsession with Andrew W.K. But really the origins aren’t all that...

The Rally for Marriage Equality...
was a success! What a great event. And people came, even in the rain!
A thank you note of sorts.
I am slowly learning to accept the reality that I’ve tried to ignore for almost 22 years: I can be a jealous person and I can be a bitter person. That acceptance, however, is paired with the realization that those two feelings don’t have to be all that bad. And they certainly don’t make some one a “bad” person - they make people HUMAN.
We learn as children that...
Circles and circles.
I am certain that our lives work in circles. Our lives trace curves around millions of intersecting circles. The circular sun stares down at us, the moon waxes and wanes it’s way into a living circle. Mathematicians see pi equations everywhere. Scientists of all sorts describe chains and circular connections, everything looping back in on everything else. Foucault traces circular systems of...
